Basketball coach coverage

Yanni Hufnagel, a passionate young basketball recruiter, was compared to the “energizer bunny” for his boundless energy and thriving passion for recruiting the best of the best young basketball stars. He was always willing to go the extra mile and do whatever it took. He worked tirelessly as if it played to him. From a very young age, he used his toy action figures to choose his starting lineups. By the time he turned sixteen, Yanni Hufnagel was analyzing plays on public access television. He gained more experience working as a Student Managing Coach at Cornell University, then at twenty-three years of age, he decided to fully commit to coaching and took a position as Graduate Assistant Coach at Oklahoma State. There he stayed for two seasons training under Jack Capel and working alongside a future NBA number one pick, Blake Griffin. He really learned a lot working around great people, and a great work ethic was instilled in him.

A master at the Art of conversation, Yanni Hufnagel could carry on two conversations at once. Brilliant at recruiting, Yanni moved on again to Harvard, Vanderbilt, and stopping off at the University of California, in Berkley. He spent his first coaching and recruiting at Harvard for four years. During that time and all the time, Yanni Hufnagel was always forming relationships with the young athletes even flying from east coast to west coast to make a visit. A visionary, he could see future talent in the making.

Yanni Hufnagel knew he still had much to learn so when the opportunity arrived to work with Coach Martin at the University of California he jumped at the chance. His main focus was to help Coach Martin and the team win. Yanni Hufnagel was a real go-getter and born to do what he so passionately did.
