Water bottles are one of the biggest offenders of recyclable items that end up in landfills, they only offer a single use and are far from environmentally friendly. Entrepreneur, Sarah Kauss, is seeking to put an end to wasteful plastic water bottles. She created a line of stainless steel, insulated water bottles
that have the ability to keep beverages hot for 12 hours and cold for 24, those are some pretty impressive numbers. Her company is aptly named, S’Well. Since their creation in 2010 the company’s sales have continued to climb and has reached $10 million last year in revenues. Those sales numbers are expected to continue to grow.
Kauss and her rise to success was recently featured on CNN for her accomplishments, she is definitely an up and coming business woman. Her company is still working to better the natural environment no only by reducing landfill waste, but also by planting new trees in American forests. In fact, for every bottle, with the wood theme, sold there is a tree planted. So far S’Well has planted 20,000 trees. If positive sales and reviews were not enough the company gained even more popularity after Oprah added their bottles to her list of necessary summer items. One thing is for sure, S’Well isn’t going away any time soon.
