The forty year old Eduardo Melzer Sirotsky, better known as Duda, took over the reign of Grupo RBS from his uncle Nelson Sirotsky. This was in an event held at Porto Alegre offices, in the presence of the company employees and their families. Guided by his strong passion for business and people, it is hoped that he will take the 56-year old business to heights that it hasn’t reached before.
Duda has both a strong education and career background. He has vast knowledge in Business Administration, having graduated magna cum laude from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS). Additionally, he has worked in executive capacities for various companies, both in Brazil and abroad.
While abroad, pursuing his MBA, Duda worked as a senior financial analyst for Delphi Corporation. He was also the CEO of Top Box media, a traditional media station. He also had over 8 years of experience in Grupo RBS, before he was made CEO and chairman of the company’s board of Directors.
With this, along with his clever business strategies, Duda is confident that he will expand the company and ensure that it remains a family- business. He also speaks of his grandfather as a mentor whose counsel will continue guiding him while running the business. Other than running Grupo RBS, Duda is also the founder and CEO of Digital e.Bricks.
