I was reading an article in Rolling Stones online. I was excited to learn that Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson were back in country news. I was even more excited to find out that these great artist covered songs on this album as well. Johnny Cash recorded “Melva’s Wine.” Waylon Jennings recorded “Laid Back Country Picker.” This amazing album never made Nashville in the seventies. But thanks to some great people, it is now going to be heard by millions. Music makes life look beautiful. It says all the things that you want to say. It makes you believe everything’s going to be alright and it is great to hear music from yesteryear come alive again today. To inspire you and make you want to sing out loud and party all night is one of music’s gifts. Country music fans in New Brunswick thank all those who help keep great music like this alive. It is because of you that this music will live on and entertain people for generations to come.
There is so much controversy and so many varied opinions when it comes to whether marijuana should be legal or not, and many celebrities are getting in on it. Willie Nelson is one of the people who has taken a stand on the side of the drug being legal. He supports it so much that he has even decided to start selling it.
Does this change your opinion of this singer, either way? Most people feel strongly one way or another and knowing that a celebrity feels the same way as you can feel exhilarating, but knowing that they feel the opposite can feel disappointing.
You might have long been a Willie Nelson fan like Brad Reifler but now that you know that he’ll be selling marijuana you want nothing to do with him. Or, maybe you just recently starting listening to his music and knowing that he supports the legalization of this drug makes you like him all the more. Either way, you are bound to have an opinion on this. It is a very controversial issue. What are your thoughts on this matter?
There has been a lot of buzz lately in regards to Zayn Malik’s decision to leave One Direction. In a recent interview former N’sync star Lance Bass opened up about who he thinks is next to leave the group.
According to Lance Bass, Harry Styles will be next to leave One Direction. Contrary to Malik’s departure, Styles’ exit would be more detrimental. One Direction would definitely not be able to record another album without him and the band would have to break up for good, and Brian Torchin knows a few youngsters who would be devastated. While there is no need to worry just yet, it seems that Harry Styles has been ready to leave the group for a while now. He has been writing songs and recording solo for months.
However, Zayn Malik took the edge when he left before him, which is why stars like Lance Bass and 50 cent call him smart and business savvy.

Legendary rock and roll band AC/DC recently returned and rocked the house at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California. AC/DC is known worldwide as one of the greatest bands of all time, but the band hasn’t performed live in nearly six years. However, the band returned with a vengeance, and it was apparent that they did not miss a step.
The AC/DC performance was a monumental success, and all those who attended were happy that they did. The band pulled out all the stops to rock the crowd, and they even had a massive bell for their famous song “Hells Bells.” The rockers may have aged several years, but they still perform like they are in their prime. Singer-songwriter Elvis Costello is writing a memoir of his nearly fifty years in the music business. The book will be published by Penguin and is scheduled to be in stores this fall.
It’s interesting to consider memoirs written by music stars.Costello is writing this book entirely by himself, which makes it different from the many star autobiographies that are ghost written.
In my opinion, one of the best books by a rock star about himself is the “unauthorized autobiography” X-Ray by Ray Davies of the Kinks. Davies tells his own story in an offbeat and nonlinear manner that is unconventional but not too strange. I was surprised to find how conservative he is in many ways, and that he rarely parties at all. There was also some good insights into why he and his brother Dave are always feuding with one another.
Fans like Brad Reifler know that reading a memoir by a favorite musician doesn’t necessarily make you like them more. Maybe musician memoirs should come with warning stickers. I read Neil Young’s memoir Waging Heavy Peace recently and was shocked by how tedious many of his interests are. There are long sections in the book about his model train collection that were extremely boring. Knowing all about his thoughts on Lionel trains doesn’t make his music sound any better either.
Lil Wayne did not get to where he is today by throwing bad shows, and Thursday night was no exception to the rapper. When Wayne was performing at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he was ready to sing his new remix of the song “CoCo”, which is one of the songs released in his new album Sorry 4 the Wait 2.
Instead of staying cool and fixing the mistake by just starting over and singing the song he wanted to sing in the first place, Weezy just gives the DJ the worst look in the world as if he’s saying you are the worst Dj in the world, and threw the mic on the stage and walked off stage pissed off.
Wayne was very excited and had his verse ready to come out while jumping on stage, and when the mistake happened he turned around and put his arms up to signal to the DJ the error. The poor microphone got it the worst as Wayne chucked it very hard and far.
McDonald’s has decided to pay bands that play their showcase at the South By Southwest entertainment festival. The company’s change of heart may be due largely in part of a social media outcry.
According to Twitter, McDonald’s denied the allegations, claiming that the company was “following the standard protocol, as all other sponsors had done.”
SXSW sponsor chief Scott McNearney said that sponsors have the opportunity to offer a cash payment or an exposure and credentials package. The credential package “allows artists to participate in the conference and to see other shows, but it is ultimately up to the artist to decide which incentive they would like to receive.”
Ex Cop members were ecstatic to learn that McDonald’s had a change of heart and would offer monetary payments to performing artists.
“We are THREILLED we were able to make a difference,” the group wrote on their Facebook page. “Artists should be paid for their work.”
Former Beach Boy, Brian Wilson, is set to release a new album “No Pier Pressure” on April 7th. Shortly after its release, Brian and some former band mates will hit the road. The two friends, Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, also recorded a song on the album with Wilson called “Sail Away”. The album has 13 songs in total, most of which are songs done with other notable artists. Another former band mate, David Marks, joins Wilson for two songs one of which was made into a music video.
The career of Icelandic pop star Bjork has taken many different directions and influences that have marked her out as an individual performer in a period where this is not often seen.
