Prince gave a top-secret performance at the White House’s East Room, reports Rolling Stone Magazine. The guests were a very exclusive crowd of 500 which included, Bon Jovi and the Reverend Al Sharpton. President Obama and his First Lady Michelle hosted the party that also had a brief appearance by Stevie Wonder in a duo with Prince of “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” After the performance, DJ Cassidy kept the music playing with songs from Michael Jackson, and Earth Wind and Fire.
The party was paid for by the Obamas, and none of the guests would comment on the event. White House spokesman Josh Earnest stated he had nothing to say other than to call it a ‘non public event’. Marketwired.com noted to Brian Reifler that the party came to the public’s attention after the Reverend Sharpton tweeted, “”Leaving the White House party w/POTUS and FLOTUS. Awesome to see Prince and Stevie Wonder on keyboards together. Unbelievable experience.”
