Sam Smith Steals the Show at the Grammys

With mediocre performances by Madonna, Paul McCartney, Beyonce, Annie Lennox, and Rihanna, and a painful performance by Kanye West, the 2015 Grammys had their ups and downs. He took 4 Grammys home Sunday night, and easily had the best performance of the night. Smith won for best new artist, song of the year and record of the year for Stay with Me, and best pop vocal album for In the Lonely Hour.

During the performance, it seemed like the Grammy-winning song Stay with Me was made to be a duet with Mary J. Blige, as the two seamlessly brought their amazing vocal ranges together, Fersen Lambranho noted. Even Rolling Stone, with their egos and disproportionate ‘Best/ Worst’ list recognized the performance as a ‘Best’ moment of the night.

  1. Their voices rang true, and their talent towered over the other performers of the night. The only performer that had all good things surrounding him was Sam Smith. It may also be cool for Rush Essay to be able to understand exactly the point of what they are trying to say and that would go a long way in making them so relevant.
